FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does it hurt?
Eh. The first session can be spicy.

Is there parking?
Yes! There is a private lot. Park anywhere near the entrance with the covered stairwell.

How long should my hair be? Should I trim it before?
For best results, your hair should be at least a quarter inch, or the length of a grain of jasmine rice. This assures that the wax is able to grip to all of the hair. Please do not trim your hair. It is possible for you to trim it too short. If it does need trimming, I can do it at the appointment.

Can I still get waxed if I’m on my period?
This is totally based on your comfort level, but YES, you can still come in while you’re on your period. I just ask that you put in a fresh tampon or cup right before the appointment. I will let you know that the skin tends to be more sensitive from about 3 days prior to 3 days after your period, so you may want to schedule accordingly.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
If you are unable to make it to your appointment, please cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours prior to your appointment start time. You are able to do this through your confirmation text or email. I do understand that life happens, so if there are any last minute changes to your appointment I just ask that you pretty please let me know as soon as possible so I can adjust my schedule accordingly and open up that spot to another guest.

What type of wax do you use?
I have two options, a honey-infused soft wax that is an all natural formula containing beneficial properties of beeswax that is a known effective emollient for the skin. The other option is Sugar wax, also known as sugaring. It is a natural hair removal method that uses a paste of sugar, water, and lemon juice to remove hair from the root.

Am I safe to wax?

Have you taken antibiotics in the last 30 days?
Are you using retinol creams or oral acne medications such as accutane?
Are you using topical steroids?
Have you tanned or sunburned in the last 3 days?

We will not be able to perform the service. These contraindications thin the skin, and can result in a “lift” or removal of the epidermal layer (it’s not fun for either party, we promise)

Can I get waxed while pregnant?
Yes! IF YOU'RE PREGNANT at 5+ months and haven't seen us at least three times in the LAST 5 months, we will not be able to wax you. Pregnancy hormones thicken the hair and the swelling of your body, it'll be an extremely uncomfortable experience for you. NO EXCEPTIONS.

I'm a dude. The thought of getting naked in front of a girl, freaks me out & I'm afraid I will involuntarily get excited. What happens then?
It's a natural reaction. That said, after we rip off the first strip, there's no way your "excitement" will last. Still, we strongly urge you not to be a freak and do anything to prolong your excitement. Should you not heed our warning, we will TEAR. YOU. APART. This is a professional service with the sole purpose of removing hair. If you are here for any other reason, we will not only remove your hair, we shall remove skin, limbs and any pride or self-respect you pretend to have.

Tool.

I heard you don't take tips. Why?
Yup! You should only be responsible for what’s quoted and that’s that. And we believe tipping destroys our good luck mojo. The best tip you can give is a referral & earn yourself and your friend each off $5 your next service! Plus it’s weird.
